MEET THE TEAM
Dr Raj Bhaker, a Consultant Psychiatrist* for people with Learning Disabilities has specialist experience in supporting and managing the most complex people with Learning Disabilities with challenging behaviour and mental illnesses. He is an expert in applying Mental Health and Mental Capacity Act laws in this group of people. His background as a Registered Medical Doctor comes with associated values of integrity, care, compassion and ethics.
*Clinical care will remain the responsibility of local NHS services.
Blueberry Living will not provide medical input.
Dr Jaspal Swalli is also a Consultant Psychiatrist* so will also share the values accredited to this profession. He is a specialist in acute and urgent care pathways within adult mental health services and has expertise in management of mentally disordered offenders, substance misuse, personality disorder and dual diagnosis. He prides himself in challenging the stigma and discrimination around mental health issues.
Mr Ravinder Digwa, a Maths teacher for over 5 years is a Manager for a behavioural management programme. He has first-hand experience with providing bespoke support, learning and care for children who have diagnosed learning disabilities specifically Autism and ADHD.
Lisa Walker has over a decade of experience working in the social and healthcare sector. She has a level 7 Diploma in Leadership and Management. She has Registered Manager experience of a residential home for people with Learning Disabilities rated “Good” in all CQC domains. Lisa Walker’s background provides her with the expertise necessary in assessing and planning Person-Centred support effectively in partnership with service users, their carers’ and families and professionals.
